The 22-year-old has been sharpening his tools at the Venetian club since making the move from Dallas in 2021.

The defensive midfielder is coming off an impressive campaign. He contributed with 6 goals and three assists in Serie B, helping the club achieve promotion to the top flight.

However, the USMNT star is currently running on an expiring contract. Therefore, Venezia will be looking to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free a year later.

In recent weeks, Inter have emerged as a strong contender for the player’s signature.

The Nerazzurri would like to sign him this summer and leave him on loan with Venezia for another year. This would allow him to gain valuable Serie A experience before joining Inter’s ranks in 2025.

But according to La Stampa via FcInter1908, Tessman doesn’t fancy this solution, and would rather make a permanent move to Torino.

Why Tanner Tessman Could Choose Torino Mover Over Inter Milan

As the source explains, the American doesn’t want to spend the next campaign on loan, but is rather seeking a permanent switch. This is a stipulation that the Granata would be willing to meet.

Moreover. Torino would offer the midfielder the chance to reunite with Paolo Vanoli.

The 51-year-old has coached Tessman at Venezia over the last two years, and has been recently appointed as the new manager of Torino.

The source adds that the young Regista will be part of the American national team that will participate in the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
