An insight into the plans of the powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid to reintegrate defender Éder Militão into matchday duties has been provided on Thursday.

The name of stopper Militão has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes with the Brazilian having ramped up his efforts to return to competitive action, after a spell of seven months on the sidelines with an ACL injury.

Earlier this month, boss Carlo Ancelotti hinted at his readiness to utilise Militão in his side’s run of fixtures immediately following the international break.

So, when exactly can those of a Real persuasion expect to see their side’s defensive stalwart back on the pitch?

As per a report from Diario AS, as much is indeed imminent.

Though it is not ruled out that he could return sooner, the ‘conservative’, and therefore most realistic return date for Militão is April 13th, when Los Blancos make the trip to Son Moix for a La Liga meeting with RCD Mallorca.

As much would mean the 26-year-old sitting out the first leg of his side’s Champions League quarter-final tie against Manchester City, but being available to feature in the return leg at The Etihad Stadium on April 17th.
