An insight into the plans of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti for defender Éder Militão has today been forthcoming online.

Militão, of course, has spent the last couple of weeks working his way back into competitive action.

After a spell of eight months on the sidelines owing to an ACL tear, the Brazilian has now been introduced off the bench in four of Real’s last five outings across all competitions.

What, though, is the plan moving forward?

In the case of regaining full fitness, the common consensus is that Militão would be considered an undisputed starter at the heart of defence, alongside Antonio Rüdiger.

Could the 26-year-old, as a result, be reintroduced to the starting XI for next week’s Champions League semi-final first-leg meeting with Bayern Munich?

As per a report from Marca, as much is altogether unlikely.

Carlo Ancelotti and co. are aware of the level of intensity likely to be in store at the Allianz Arena next Tuesday, therefore keen to play it safe, by way of a place on the bench for Militão.

The former Porto man’s prospects this weekend are altogether brighter, though, with it not ruled out that Militão could be in from the off when Real Madrid make the trip to Aneota for a meeting with Real Sociedad.

As much, of course, comes after Los Merengues all but sealed the La Liga title courtesy of victory over arch rivals Barcelona this past Sunday.
