FC Barcelona have already shifted their focus towards reinforcing the squad for the 2025/26 season. After a very good first season under Hansi Flick where the club wrapped up the domestic treble, it is now time to move on to bigger things.
One position that Barcelona remain keen on reinforcing this summer is the left-wing role, with players like Marcus Rashford on the radar. The club need an alternative to Raphinha on that side of the pitch and could make a move in the market soon.
However, as per a report from SPORT, there are six La Masia players who could help Barcelona not sign a winger this summer. Whenever there is a situation, looking internally has always proven to be wiser decision and the club could use the same trick this time.

The first player tipped for a first-team role is Dani Rodriguez. Having already made his debut under Hansi Flick, it is clear that the German coach rates him. Although he loves playing on the right, he can also play off the left and injuries permitting, he could be a reliable option.
The next name on the list is Jan Virgili. He is quick and unpredictable and equally comfortable operating on either flank. Over the course of the season, he has developed and become very consistent and he would be a stylistic fit for Flick’s team.
Then, there is Toni Fernandez. Widely regarded as the best young talent coming through La Masia at the moment, the only caveat is that the teenager is naturally and almost exclusively left-footed. He could operate in a similar role as Raphinha though.

The fourth name on the list is Juan Hernandez. He was recently called up to first-team training. He is fast, powerful and has the ability to score goals. He would thrive playing alongside someone like Alejandro Balde on the left side attack.
The fifth name on the list is Arnau Pradas. Although he has played a lot as a right-winger this season, the Spaniard is also capable of playing on the left, like he has done in previous seasons. The Spaniard is a very skillful winger and passer.
The last name is Pedro Fernandez. The youngster oozes class on the ball and is a natural in more than one position on the pitch. His link-up play is excellent and although not what one would expect from a typical winger, he can surely do a job on the left.
Ultimately, it will come down to whether Hansi Flick sees enough promise in this crop of La Masia talent during pre-season (with the exception of the injured Dani Rodriguez). If even one or two of these players can rise to the challenge, Barcelona may not need to dip into the transfer market for a left-winger this summer, a decision that would align with the club’s long-standing tradition of trusting its academy.
