Fresh from a 4-2 win over Heidenheim, Bayern Munich continue their Champions League campaign against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

Vincent Kompany's men will make the short trip to Gelsenkirchen, with Shakhtar unable to play at home due to the war in Ukraine.

With nine points from five Champions League games, a win would be crucial to Bayern's hopes of qualifying directly for the knockout stages.

The two clubs met in the round of 16 in 2014/15, when Bayern secured progression with a 7-0 win in the second leg. It remains their joint-biggest win in the Champions League - and Shakhtar's heaviest defeat in Europe's top club competition.

Shakhtar, who have four points in the Champions League, will be hoping for a different result this time around, coming into the game on the back of a 3-1 win over Vorskla Poltava.

Goalkeeper Tymur Puzankov looks to be Shakhtar's only absentee with a knee injury.

Vincent Kompany's side will also be without star striker Harry Kane (hamstring) and long-term absentees Hiroki Ito (foot), Joao Palhinha (groin) and Josip Stanisic (knee).

Manuel Neuer is a doubt after missing the win over Heidenheim with a rib problem. If he's not fit enough to play, Daniel Peretz should start again.

Meanwhile, Mathys Tel and Serge Gnabry could both come into the squad after missing the Heidenheim game through illness and a knee injury respectively.

Predicted Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Bayern Munich lineups:

Shakhtar Donetsk: Riznyk - Konoplya, Bondar, Matviyenko, Azarovi - Kryskiv - Zubkov, Marlon Gomes, Sudakov, Kevin - Sikan.

Bayern Munich: Peretz - Boey, Upamecano, Kim, Guerreiro - Kimmich, Pavlovic - Olise, Musiala, Sané - Müller.
