The United States Women’s National Team will be back in action in less than a month since the last international window took place.  This time, the ladies will play three games.  They will face Ireland twice, and then they will finish the window against Canada.  With Ireland up first, here is a look at the upcoming friendly.

How to watch USWNT vs. Ireland

Time: Thursday, June 26, 9:00 pm ET

TV & streaming: TBS and Max in English; Telemundo Deportes and Peacock in Spanish

The USWNT projected lineup

After beating China and Jamaica in the last international window, the USWNT will seek to continue their winning ways when they take on Ireland.  The roster will look a little different compared to the previous window, for Naomi Girma is the only European-based player on the roster.  Everyone else plays domestically in the NWSL.

This allows those who play across the ocean to get some rest this summer.  Girma missed some time due to injury, so she likely is yearning for more minutes.  Plus, this allows Emma Hayes to look at other players, including four first-time call-ups to the national team.  Jordyn Bugg, Sam Meza, Lilly Reale, and Izzy Rodriguez will all get a chance to suit up for the USWNT for the first time.

Additionally, Angelina Anderson and Claudia Dickey have been called up before but have not made an appearance, leaving six total players with a chance to earn their first cap.  Fans should expect at least one or two to debut on Thursday.  Perhaps Hayes will even give one of those six a start.

Meanwhile, Rose Lavelle is finally back with the national team for the first time in 2025.  The midfielder had offseason ankle surgery and made her club season debut for Gotham FC on June 7.  Her minutes will be restricted as she continues to build up her playing stamina.  She should start one or two games, for she has started a match already, but only played one half.

USWNT vs Ireland prediction

Even when the Starting XI is switched up, the USWNT can come together and find ways to not only win but score multiple goals.

This time, the Stars and Stripes will win, but Ireland will prove to be a harder team to break down., and there will probably be at least one costly error for a less seasoned USA XI. Look for both teams to find the net, with the Americans eventually earning a narrow win.
