Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera, according to the Athletic's David Ornstein.
The Gunners have made a defensive signing one of their priorities this summer, and the 20-year-old centre-back is their reported preferred option.
Mosquera has made 90 appearances for Valencia since making his debut in January 2022, and played every minute in 37 of the club's 38 La Liga games last season.
With just a year left on his contract, he is likely to depart the club in the coming weeks, with Arsenal one of several clubs rumoured to be interested.
Mikel Arteta's current options at the back include first-choice pair Gabriel and William Saliba, as well as Jakub Kiwior, Jurrien Timber, Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori.
The report continues a busy week for the club in the market with moves for Kepa and Christian Nørgaard rapidly progressing, and Martin Zubimendi's big-money switch from Real Sociedad set to be confirmed imminently.
