Ronaldo renewal: Cristiano commits to Al Nassr until 2027 | OneFootball

OK, OK, so the news is finally here.

That’s right: the Roshn Saudi League is to enjoy Cristiano Ronaldo for another two years after confirmation arrived on Thursday that the Al Nassr captain has extended his contract.

The Riyadh club initially announced the news with a video on social media entitled "The Story continues", with Ronaldo walking along a beach before declaring: "Al Nassr forever".

Not long after, a second post confirmed the Portuguese superstar had extended his contract until 2027, with the man himself then declaring on social media: "A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together."

Ronaldo, 40, has spent the past two-and-a-half seasons reminding everyone why he’s considered football’s GOAT, with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner setting RSL records and snaffling successive golden boots.

In 77 top-flight appearances, Ronaldo has found the net 74 times and registered 16 assists, while he etched his name into the RSL history books in the 2023-24 campaign by surpassing Abderrazak Hamdallah’s record for goals in a single season.

The additional two years could well see more records tumble, while Ronaldo has his sights on reaching  1,000 career goals. His strike earlier this month in the final against Spain during Portugal's UEFA Nations League title-winning campaign lifted him to 938 - so, roll on next season in the RSL.
