With the 2-2 draw against Arsenal just under a week ago, FC Bayern have secured a good starting position for the quarter-final second leg. The Munich side will be looking to advance to the semi-finals of the Premier League with a win at home in the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening. Thomas Tuchel is relying above all on the support of his own fans.

The Champions League is FC Bayern’s last remaining chance to secure a title this season. While their performance has fluctuated greatly in the Bundesliga, things are going much better in the top flight. They have only lost one of their nine matches. They are still undefeated at the Allianz Arena in the current CL season.

With the 2:2 draw in London, Harry Kane & Co. have put themselves in a good starting position. According to Thomas Tuchel, however, they have only reached the halfway stage on their way to the semi-finals: „We did well in the first leg, but it’s only halfway. We still need a tick more than in the first leg. The same passion, the same motivation,“ emphasised the Munich head coach at the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s second leg against Arsenal.

„We hope for an extraordinary atmosphere“

The 50-year-old not only put the onus on his players, Tuchel also fired up his own fans and is firmly convinced that they can have a big influence on the game tomorrow. „We’re hoping for the same atmosphere as in the first leg for us this time. We’re hoping for an extraordinary atmosphere in the Allianz Arena that will support the team in our personnel situation. Every fan should come with the willingness to push and help. We need this support, this extra per cent to be able to win against Arsenal.“

In the first leg, Munich had to do without their supporters completely due to a UEFA ban.
