Roma scout Jose Fontes promoted under soon-to-be sporting director Florent Ghisolfi | OneFootball

The imminent arrival of Florent Ghisolfi to the Italian capital will also affect Roma’s current Head Scout Jose Fontes.

According to calciomercato.com, Roma are very pleased with Fontes’ work at the club since his arrival in 2021.

The Portuguese scout replaced then Ricardo Formosinho, former collaborator of José Mourinho at Tottenham.

Due to the high quality of his work over the past years, the Giallorossi want to reward Fontes by promoting him and giving him more responsibilities and a larger role to play in future transfer negotiations.

Fontes will thus be included in Ghisolfi’s staff starting from this summer.

During his talks with the capital club, Ghisolfi decided he wanted two more people at his side from France.

To ensure that there is ever greater synergy between Roma’s Primavera and the first team, one of the two will operate on the youth market and the other will work together with Ghisolfi and Fontes on the first team.
