The coaching staff at La Liga outfit Real Betis are sweating over the availability of a key member of the club’s midfield ranks, for the upcoming round of fixtures in Spain’s top-flight.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Friday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Heliópolis.

Marc Roca, it is understood, was absent from group training alongside the rest of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad this morning.

As much comes with the 27-year-old – behind only Germán Pezzella when it comes to minutes played for Betis thus far this season – dealing with an unspecified fitness problem.

MD, in turn, point towards Roca’s availability to face Rayo Vallecano on Sunday evening as having been thrown firmly up in the air.

Turning attentions towards those certain to miss out at Vallecas, all of Youssouf Sabaly, Héctor Bellerín, Cédric Bakambu and Marc Bartra have been ruled out through injury, with Chimy Ávila primed to sit out a one-match ban.

On a more positive note, after marking their respective returns to training this week, Abner, Aitor Ruibal, Claudio Bravo and, crucially, Isco are expected to be at the disposal of boss Pellegrini, with defender Pezzella in line to make his comeback, too, after sitting out against Villarreal last time out through suspension.
