La Liga outfit Real Betis are set to be without a whole host of key performers for the club’s return to action this weekend.
As much was confirmed by Manuel Pellegrini during his pre-match press conference on Friday evening.
Fresh off a 1-1 stalemate with Sevilla in the latest edition of El Gran Derbi last time out, Betis will now turn their attentions towards a meeting with Osasuna on Sunday afternoon.
The matchup marks a crucial one amid the club’s ongoing pursuit of European football for next season, with the Verdiblancos sitting 7th in the La Liga table as things stand.
In efforts towards a return to winning ways, however, Betis, as alluded to above, will be without no fewer than six first-team stars.
The latest addition to the absentee list was confirmed by Manuel Pellegrini earlier today, Assane Diao unavailable through injury.
And also in line to miss out at El Sadar are all of Cédric Bakambu, Chimy Ávila, Héctor Bellerín and Marc Bartra, as well as the suspended Isco.
As per Mundo Deportivo, Betis’ travelling party to face Osasuna is therefore expected to be made up of:
Rui Silva, Claudio Bravo, Fran Vieites, Sabaly, Aitor Ruibal, Pezzella, Chadi Riad, Sokratis, Miranda, Abner, Guido Rodríguez, Johnny Cardoso, Marc Roca, Sergi Altimira, William Carvalho, Fornals, Fekir, Ayoze, Abde, Rodri and Willian José.
