Ligue 2 outfit Dijon have this afternoon announced the dismissal of Omar Daf, the former Senegal international being suspended from his duties with the club sitting second-to-last in the standings.

Daf arrived in Burgundy this summer after an impressive four years in charge of Sochaux – as it stands, though, the team are seven points away from survival, with this season seeing four clubs go down to the third tier. Dijon have lost their last three consecutive games, scoring just once in that time.

L’Équipe indicate that his replacement will be Pascal Dupraz, the former Evian and Toulouse coach who most recently oversaw Saint-Étienne’s relegation to Ligue 2 last season. The 60-year-old will take charge until the end of the campaign.

Dijon’s next game will see them take on an in-form Rodez, while they still have a host of high-fliers to face between now and June, including league leaders Le Havre as well as promotion chasers Paris FC and Sochaux.
