If Arsenal somehow manage to clinch this season’s Premier League title, Kai Havertz deserves a huge amount of credit.
The Germany international was at the heart of things again as Mikel Arteta’s side kept the pressure on at the summit in Sunday’s win over Manchester United.
Leandro Trossard scored the only goal of the game and extended his own impressive return of nine strikes in the previous 17 top-flight outings.
But Havertz’s contribution was equally emphatic with a personal best of goal involvements in a calendar year.
His reported £60m fee is looking like an absolute steal with every game that passes for the Gunners.
