According to Florian Plettenberg, Nottingham Forest are pushing to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush.
It has previously been reported that the Premier League outfit are looking to lure Marmoush away from the Bundesliga before the end of the transfer window.
However, it is now understood that Forest are doing whatever they can in order to get a deal over the line.
The former European champions have been heavily linked to Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez over the course of the summer.
Nevertheless, the Mexican international has since stated that he does not wish to move to the City Ground, amid interest from Bayer Leverkusen.
Therefore, Forest have been forced to find an alternative, and Marmoush is considered to be their outstanding candidate.
Despite this, due to the striker’s contract not being set to expire until 2027, Frankfurt are in a positive position to demand a lucrative fee for his signature.
Last season, the 25-year-old scored 17 goals and collected six assists during his sole campaign with Die Adler.
