Newcastle are reportedly set for a January windfall with former striker Ivan Toney set to make a big-money move during the winter window.
Toney spent three years at St James Park but struggled to make an impression in the north east, going out on six different loan moves before eventually leaving for Peterborough in 2018.
But the 23-year-old has been a sensation in League One, netting 12 goals already this term and receiving admiring glances from clubs all over the country.
The North Shields Gazette, citing a story in the Sun, say that the likes of Burnley, Middlesbrough, Bournemouth and Derby are all potentially going to bid for the goalscorer in January.
But Posh have already slapped a €15m asking price on the 23-year-old, which would earn Steve Bruce’s side €1.5m having included a 10 per cent sell-on fee in the deal which saw him join the London Road outfit 18 months ago.
