Manchester United star Marcus Rashford suffered a huge decline in form last season after breaking the 30-goal barrier during the previous campaign.

He netted just eight goals in 43 appearances in all competitions, which led to his exclusion from England’s squad for the European Championship.

Rashford made an encouraging start to pre-season by setting up Rasmus Hojlund’s goal against Arsenal last weekend.

Speaking to MUTV ahead of their friendly with Real Betis, the forward revealed his dream of winning the Champions League and Premier League trophies with United.

“I think as you get older, your dreams change as well,” Rashford said. “So, in the beginning, it was just about playing for Man United. And when you get there, it’s about winning.

“So I still have dreams of winning the big trophies, the Premier League and Champions League with Man United. So, hopefully, we can get that done.”

Man United last won the Premier League title in 2013 during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season.

They have not come close to lifting the coveted trophy since then, with managers David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all failing to win the league title.

Their last two Champions League trophies also came during Ferguson’s reign. The club haven’t been good enough to challenge for the European Cup since he retired.

The Red Devils finished eighth last term under Erik ten Hag, and it will be an achievement if he leads them to a top-four finish next season.
