SL Benfica midfielder João Neves is Paris Saint-Germain’s top target. A recent report from Sports Zone reveals that the Parisians have agreed to personal terms with the teenager, and negotiations continue with Benfica.

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins recently reported that Neves is PSG’s top priority and keen to move from Benfica, but talks have hit a snag over Benfica’s steep asking price. Signing Neves might prompt the departure of a midfielder like Fabián Ruiz.

Moreover, on Wednesday, new information surfaced regarding the Neves file as Record reports that Neves is on the brink of joining PSG, with negotiations progressing swiftly.

PSG’s offer is close to €70 million, but Benfica is holding out for a bit more, as they’re asking for €120 million, which PSG is reluctant to meet. Additionally, Neves prefers a move to PSG over Manchester United.

O Jogo also reports that Neves’ transfer to PSG is nearing completion, with the clubs close to agreeing on a fee of approximately €70 million. Furthermore, there’s a possibility that Renato Sanches could move to Benfica as part of this deal.

Last month, Sports Zone also reported that Neves’ agent, Jorge Mendes, supports the move but insists the capital club sell some midfielders first. It will be interesting to see which midfielders could depart if PSG does secure Neves in the coming days.
