European dreams, reunions and setbacks

Ten of our boys are in various parts of the world on loan spells as they try to take their own next steps in the game. We are using the international break to take a look at how they are getting on - from Sao Paulo to Lake Como and the other side of Austria.

Ignace Van der Brempt | Como 1907

Inni has clearly found a place close to his heart in this beautiful part of Northern Italy, as he needed next to no time to settle at the ambitious Serie A new boys. The full-back has started all of the last three matches under Cesc Fabregas. Last weekend saw a setback for the Belgian under-21 international - after keeping Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in check for the entire clash, he had to come off injured in the final phase.

Lawrence Agyekum | Cercle Brugge

It's been a tale of two competitions so far this season for Cercle. While they raced their way into the league phase of the UEFA Conference League and have made a fine start - they are second from bottom of the Belgian table currently, which is below the expectations of a side that finished the last campaign in fourth. Things are going rather well personally for Lawrence at De Vereniging, with the midfielder playing when he is fit. He has had to sit out the last few days due to a minor injury, however.

Samson Tijani | Fredrikstad FK

The Nigerian made the move to Norway on Deadline Day, despite his side being in the middle of their summer season. The midfield enforcer has appeared in all three of his side's matches since, playing a small part in the newly promoted outfit being able to dream of Europe - with just three points separating them from the European spots.

Jonas Krumrey | Lyngby BK

Things started so well for the goalkeeper at the Danish Superliga side - being selected in between the sticks and guiding them to a clean sheet and win in his second appearance. That would be their only success so far in eleven encounters, and after his third appearance, Jonas picked up a nasty injury that has ruled him out until the new year.

Soumaila Diabate | FC Blau-Weiß Linz

A derby win and even the league lead on an ever-present loan spell! The midfield enforcer is the kind of player coach Gerald Scheiblehner would help moving in person, and for good reason - the Malian has not missed a single of minute of action since his arrival. He has shown to be a tough tackler (winning 75% of his challenges) and has played a key role in their surprising success this season.

Justin Omoregie | TSV Hartberg

No matter if it was under Markus Schopp or under his successor Manfred Schmid, who has taken three league wins in a row. The youngster from Vienna has been a key part of the first XI, featuring in seven out of eight matches so far this season. Justin has made the place his own with three assists  – more than any other player asides from Donis Avdijaj.

Dijon Kameri | SCR Altach

The young creative force has recovered from a foot injury and played in all four ADMIRAL Bundesliga matches for Altach since, although he has not been able to prevent Joachim Standfest's departure after two points from six matches. New coach Fabio Ingolitsch is a welcome appointment for Dijon, who registered his best goalscoring figures yet under Ingolitsch as a coach in the U18 Austrian league and at FC Liefering. The pair will be reunited - of all places - in our Red Bull Arena as they take on our boys on 19 October!

Douglas Mendes | Red Bull Bragantino

The former U20 South American Champion has been a regular in the Brazilian top flight since the middle of July, starting 11 of the last 13 matches for his side. His outfit made it to the last 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, equivalent to UEFA Europa League, only to lose out to Andre Ramalho's Corinthians.

Nicolo Turco | Milan Futuro

The centre-forward has not yet been able to bring his attacking prowess into the Rossoneri's under-23 side, as he has not yet found the net for the team with the fewest goals of the 20 teams in the B Group of the third-tier Serie C. The 1.93-metre man is yet to gain significant playing time apart from substitute appearances, with just over 200 minutes in total on the field of play.

Federico Crescenti | FC Vaduz

The Swiss youngster has not yet been able to see much playing time for the Liechtenstein-based side that play in the Swiss second tier - 53 minutes to be precise. Fede scored a crucial eleventh goal in a 13-0 win in the last 16 of the Liechtenstein cup against FC Triesen, however, putting them within sight of a 51st domestic cup win.
