Will Senegalese international centre-back Abdou Diallo (26) return to his parent club PSG after his loan to RB Leipzig ? Nothing has been decided as of yet, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The former Borussia Dortmund defender joined PSG in 2019 on a five-year deal. The older brother of Southampton midfielder Ibrahima Diallo played 75 games with Les Parisiens. The Tours-born player found himself short of game time when PSG recruited Spanish centre-back Sergio Ramos on a free transfer from Real Madrid, and he fell down the pecking order behind Marquinhos and Presnel Kimbembe.

Diallo returned to Germany last summer as Leipzig and PSG agreed a deal on a season-long loan with a €25m option to buy. Currently on the sidelines because of a knee injury, Diallo only played eleven games with the fourth-placed Bundesliga outfit and scored one goal. German outlet Bild reported that Leipzig had no intention of exercising the option to purchase the 2022 AFCON Winner. But Foot Mercato add that nothing has been decided yet and that the player’s agents will meet the Leipzig’s executives very soon. With Milan Škriniar arriving next summer at PSG and Marquinhos set to renew with Les Parisiens, it’s hard to see Diallo making his way back into the starting eleven in the French capital.
