Juventus and AS Roma have inquired about RB Leipzig full-back Benjamin Henrichs, according to Florian Plettenberg.

Over the last few days, both Italian sides have registered their interest in the defender, who is currently struggling for playing time with the likes of Mohamed Simakan and Lukas Klostermann preferred by head coach Marco Rose.

Despite this, Leipzig sports director Max Eberl does not want the 25-year-old to leave this winter and would rather keep him in the squad.

Juventus could submit an offer for Henrichs as soon as Weston McKennie’s deal to Premier League side Leeds United is complete. That particular deal is nearing its completion as head coach Jessie March brings in yet another fellow American into his squad.

As reported by Plettenberg, a possible deal for Henrichs could come down to the final day of the window. Once Juventus have secured the funds from McKennie, the ball can begin rolling. However, Leipzig are set to play hardball for the 25-year-old right back.
