Chelsea will welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge this Sunday as they look to earn all three points at home in the Premier League. The Blues suffered a dismal 4-1 loss away at Liverpool recently, so they would be eager to put in a much-improved showing this weekend.
Mauricio Pochettino will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could name a strong first XI for this game. Nicolas Jackson will lead the line for the West London club in the final third.
Defence
Dorde Petrovic will continue to feature in between the sticks for the Blues after shipping in four goals in his last league appearance. Thiago Silva will function alongside Benoit Badiashile at the centre of the Chelsea backline as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the game.
Axel Disasi will fill in as the right-back while Malo Gusto hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Pochettino would ask both of them to be adventurous with their runs in the opposition half.
Alfie Gilchrist will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions. However, Levi Colwill is unlikely to recover in time for this game.

Midfield
Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo will operate as the holding midfielders as they look to get a foothold in the game in the middle of the park. The talented trio of Raheem Sterling, Samuel Chukwuemeka and Cole Palmer will play just ahead of them as part of Chelsea’s frontline. All three of them need to combine well if the Blues are to create enough clear-cut chances in the final third.
Mykhailo Mudryk will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Nicolas Jackson will spearhead Chelsea’s attack up top. He would be eager to impress by putting in a goal-scoring performance for the West London club this weekend.
Christopher Nkunku will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Blues are in need of a goal by then.
