Bayern Munich remain keen to sign Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea and are in talks over a potential deal.
The German champions want to bring in a forward before the transfer deadline, as Vincent Kompany seeks competition and cover for Harry Kane.
Bayern have seen Thomas Muller and Mathys Tel depart this summer, while a pursuit of Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade failed to materialise in a deal.
Jackson has emerged as the top alternative with the Senegal international exploring his options. Chelsea would prefer a permanent exit for Jackson, but will consider a loan with an obligation to buy.
Discussions over the structure of the deal are ongoing, though there is no agreement between Jackson and Bauern as things stand.
The player’s agent said the 24-year-old is considering all options with a decision imminent. There is also interest in Jackson from England and Italy, with Aston Villa and Newcastle United suitors.
