Hamburg in talks to re-acquire Adam Karabec on loan | OneFootball

Sport Bild reports that Hamburg will be able to once again turn to Czech midfielder Adam Karabec in their forthcoming top flight campaign. The 22-year-old made 24 2. Bundesliga starts for the promoted Rothosen last season and has expressed the wish to remain with HSV even after the Hanseatic club declined to pull the €4.2m purchase option embedded in his loan deal.

The German tabloid notes Karabec’s parent club, Sparta Prague, is amenable to another loan out. The player’s contract must nevertheless be extended first as he cannot be loaned whilst sitting on a contract due to expire at the end of the current season. Karabec’s will first sign a one-year-extension with the Czech outfit. The Czech U21 international scored three goals and contributed seven assists for HSV last season.

Even if Hamburg have already augmented their midfield with the signings of Nicolai Remberg and Nicolas Capaldo, Karabec could serve as another good attacking midfield option or even – as he has sometimes – play out on the right wing. After a sensational deal to secure the services of RB Leipzig’s Yussuf Poulsen, Karabec will count as Hamburg’s sixth summer addition.
