Sparta Prague midfielder Adam Karabec undergoes Lyon medical ahead of loan move

According to a report from L’Équipe, Olympique Lyonnais are set to sign attacking midfielder Adam Karabec (22) on loan from Sparta Prague. The Czech attacker has reportedly completed a medical with Les Gones and is set to join on loan with an option to buy the player set at €3.5m. He is expected to be registered in time for Lyon’s Ligue 1 opener away to Lens on Saturday. Karabec, a Czech youth international with solid experience in the Czech top flight and European competitions, can play both as a number 10 and on the right wing. Last season, he was loaned to Hamburg, where he contributed significantly to their promotion to the Bundesliga, scoring 3 goals and providing 8 assists in 33 appearances.The Czech youth international boasts 29 caps and 5 goals for the Czech Republic U21s.
