Borussia Dortmund attacker Julian Brandt expects a “great game” when leaders Bayern Munich come to town for Der Klassiker next weekend.
Brandt was key to BVB’s victory over Wolfsburg on Saturday, setting up substitute Erling Haaland to put the seal on a 3-1 win.
That means there is just one point separating the teams ahead of the clash of Germany’s two biggest clubs.
“I think that our fans are hot for the game, you could already see after the Stuttgart game,” Brandt said.
“You have now seen that in Wolfsburg too. I think and hope that it will be an exciting game because it looks like we will have an almost full house at the moment. I think it will be a great game.”
The excitement and emotion was already evident in the Germany international as he declared: “Everything is set up, we have a week. Focus well on the game, and then we’ll be there on Saturday.”
Brandt has established himself as Dortmund manager Marco Rose’s go-to men, and has started the last seven Bundesliga games after overcoming a muscle injury in September.
