Manu’s Game of the Week: Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen

My match of the week is Borussia Dortmund against Bayer Leverkusen. Dortmund have to pretty much win this one to stay in the race for the top 4. Leverkusen need 13 more points to break the record for the most points achieved in a single Bundesliga campaign. That record is currently held by Bayern’s treble winning 2012/13 team that managed 91 points. Leverkusen with four wins and one draw could get to 92. They can, therefore, afford dropping two points here. Dortmund though likely can’t.

Manu’s Predictions:

Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Augsburg; Wolfsburg 2-0 Bochum; FC Köln 2-1 Darmstadt; Hoffenheim 1-1 Borussia Mönchengladbach; Heidenheim 1-3 RB Leipzig; Union Berlin 2-1 Bayern Munich; Werder Bremen 0-3 Stuttgart; Borussia Dortmund 2-2 Bayer Leverkusen; Freiburg 0-1 Mainz.

Stefan’s Game of the Week: Eintracht Frankfurt vs Stuttgart

My game of the week has to be Augsburg’s trip to Eintracht Frankfurt. The Bavarian minnows have been outstanding under Jess Thorup and are now pushing into the European qualification spots. This more or less makes this clash a six-pointer as an out-of-form Frankfurt look to defend their hopes of a sixth place. Either way, it should be a tight and entertaining game.
