Former Blue Florent Malouda doesn’t believe it would be a good thing for Jadon Sancho to stay at Chelsea beyond the end of the season.
The Blues signed Sancho on an in initial loan deal from Manchester United last summer, with an obligation to buy for around £25m as long as Chelsea didn’t finish in the bottom six.
Sancho has picked up his form in recent weeks after really struggling for most of the second half of the season, and the Blues face a big decision in the summer.
The 25-year-old has four goals and ten assists in 39 appearances in all competitions this season, and Chelsea can pay a penalty fee of £5m to send Sancho back to United.
It’s believed Chelsea aren’t currently planning to send Sancho back, but his form for the remainder of the season will likely have a big impact on that decision.

He’s been criticised for his performances this season and Malouda feels it wouldn’t be good if Sancho remained at Stamford Bridge next season.
“For Jadon Sancho, it’s not about his talent anymore,” he said as cited on X.com.
“The point is more we haven’t really seen Sancho showing that he really wants to succeed on the pitch with Chelsea.
“At this point I don’t think it would be a good thing for him [Jadon Sancho] to stay at Chelsea, because I guess that the club will try to sign new players, so he will probably go back to Manchester United.”
It’s no secret Chelsea are looking to sign another winger this summer, with it unclear if or when Mykhailo Mudryk will be play for the club again following a positive doping test.
