Tonight presents a big chance for new Chelsea striker Liam Delap to start his first game from the off for his new team in the Club World Cup.
Chelsea beat Los Angeles FC 2-0 in their Club World Cup opening group game on Monday night in what was a very strange and subdued atmosphere in front of just 22,000 people in a huge stadium.
It was far from vintage Chelsea but in the end they just got the job done and three points on the board to set them up for a good starts.
The goals came from a lovely Nicolas Jackson assist to Pedro Neto to finish in the first half. And then new signing Liam Delap also provided a superb assist for Enzo Fernandez to run into the box and tap in to score.
Chelsea’s next game is tonight against Brazilian side Flamengo, who will be a much tougher opponent that Los Angeles FC were in this competition.
Both sides won their first group game of the competition and will be looking to continue getting those important points in this evening.

I’d expect new front man Liam Delap to start the game this evening after his great cameo against LAFC. It might seem harsh on Nicolas Jackson to drop down to the bench, but Delap will be hungry and everyone will want to see if he can shine again tonight.
Other big calls are at the back and whether any of the other centre backs come in, and also, who starts in midfield with Andrey Santos patiently waiting a chance to play as well as new signing Dario Essugo who had a very small cameo against LAFC on Monday.
