Barcelona’s Director of Football, Mateu Alemany is in Manchester to try and reinforce the team’s forward line.

Pep Guardiola’s side have an abundance of resources in the area where the Catalans are lacking, and a move to Camp Nou would be welcomed by many of them. According to SPORT, the Blaugranas are eyeing three players at Manchester.

Raheem Sterling seemed to be the chosen one a few weeks ago. His lack of minutes under Pep along with the promise of starting for Barcelona seemed to be sufficient to pull off the transfer.

However, the situation has been complicated since then. The Englishman has impressed in his last two outings for City. Further, his economic demands are beyond the reach of the Spanish side.

Ferran Torres is the other player of the Blues that Barcelona are targetting. Alemany held extensive talks with the English side and the player to check for a possibility of a transfer.

The former Valencia player is delighted by the prospect of playing for the Catalans, and has reportedly already reached a total agreement with Barcelona.

However, an economic agreement must be reached between the two teams if the move is to occur. Given Torres’ rise in value at the Premier League side, it looks difficult for Barcelona.

The last -but certainly not least- name who Alemany traveled to enquire about is Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese international has impressed under Pep Guardiola consistently and would be a perfect fit for Xavi’s plans.

He was linked with a move to La Liga in the summer too, but a move could not be engineered. However, with four years still on his contract, a move would not come cheap for the Blaugranas.
