Barcelona star suffers training ground injury | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona on Friday picked up an injury during training.

That’s according to local news outlet Tot Costa, who point towards Gavi as the player in question.

Barcelona are currently in the thick of final preparations for a return to action this coming weekend.

Fresh off back-to-back victories to open the defence of their La Liga title, the Blaugrana will make the trip to Madrid, for a meeting with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

On Friday, Hansi Flick’s squad, in turn, were put through their paces in training once more.

And as alluded to above, it was during as much that Gavi picked up a problem which could yet see him miss out at Vallecas in two days’ time.

As per a report from Tot Costa:

‘Gavi injured his knee this morning during training. Despite the player’s scare, it doesn’t seem serious. Tests will be conducted today and tomorrow. He is doubtful for Sunday’s match at Rayo.’
