As Barcelona gear up for a crucial board members meet on June 27, the club are making a few important manoeuvres in an attempt to balance its economic books.

It has been recently reported that Barça have found an economic partner that is ready to assume the €40 million shortfall left by Libero Football, by acquiring a stake in Barça Vision.

Now, Barcelona are all set take another important step in their bid to return to the 1:1 rule before the June 30 deadline.

Barça to renew deal with 1XBET

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are on the verge of renewing its sponsorship deal with online betting brand 1XBET.

1XBET currently serves as a Global Partner of FC Barcelona, a deal signed in 2019 and due to expire on June 30, 2024.

As per the report, both parties are close to finalizing an extension, suggesting a continued commitment from the sponsor.

Based in Cyprus, 1XBET is one of the leading international online betting brands, with an experience of 17 years.

The company has offices in Europe, Asia and Latin America. They have a huge exposure to football, thanks to similar deals with Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool.

A big boost for Barcelona

This renewal is a welcome boost for Barcelona’s finances, especially considering their pursuit of a return to La Liga’s 1:1 rule.

The rule allows the club to spend every penny generated through player sales or savings on wages on new players.

Every bit of additional income helps Barcelona navigate these regulations and potentially compete in the summer transfer window.

Securing the 1XBET renewal alongside the recent €40 million partnership, to that end, could go a long way in helping Barça unlock that flexibility in the upcoming summer transfer window.
