Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez is at the centre of transfer headlines as he weighs up a potential switch to Chelsea.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the 22-year-old will announce whether he wants to trade the Camp Nou for Stamford Bridge today.
So far, it has been noted that the midfielder is not rushing the choice. Sources close to the player say he is carefully analysing the advantages and disadvantages with his inner circle.
This is because leaving Barça would be a huge step. On the other hand, Chelsea are pushing strongly, with manager Enzo Maresca keen to strengthen his midfield before the transfer window shuts.
The Blues have already given Fermin a strict 48-hour deadline to respond. If he agrees, Chelsea are expected to present a formal offer to Barcelona later today.
For Barcelona, the stance is clear that they will only entertain an offer that makes sense financially.

Reports suggest the club are asking for a minimum of €70 million to let the talented midfielder go.
However, anything lower could be viewed as undervaluing a player who has quickly become an important squad member.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are active in the market but not willing to spend recklessly. The Premier League side are already close to securing Garnacho for around €35-40 million and continue to explore several other targets.
Specialists close to the club say the Blues are prepared to pay between €50-58 million for Fermin, which is still short of Barça’s €70 million demand.
With the deadline now upon him, the decision rests entirely with Fermin. If he gives the green light, Chelsea will test Barcelona’s resolve with a formal proposal.
