A fresh insight into the latest developments surrounding the bench at La Liga giants Barcelona has today come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and backs mounting suggestions in the media over the course of the last 48 hours – that Xavi is increasingly leaning towards staying put.

Though Barcelona are of course fresh off a heartbreaking week on both the domestic and European fronts, the club’s headmaster is inching closer to going back on his decision to depart upon the season’s close.

As much comes amid ongoing pressure from the likes of Joan Laporta and Rafa Yuste for Xavi to see out the final year of his contract.
