Landry made his Celtic debut with an impressive performance in a pre-season friendly at Cardiff City on 22 July 2009, and his competitive debut came a week later at Parkhead when the Hoops lost 1-0 to Dynamo Moscow in a Champions League qualifier. Seven days later, he would produce a Man Of The Match performance as the Hoops recorded an excellent 2-0 victory in Moscow to progress to the next qualifying round. Things looked to be good for Landry.

Naturally, Landry took time to settle into his new surroundings, and by the time he departed for the African Nations Cup in January 2010, he had already established himself as a popular player with the Parkhead support. His initial performances in the middle of the park were becoming a standout in what was admittedly a torrid time for Celtic.

Both energetic and efficient, the Cameroon ace generally worked the midfield well. Hard-working and determined, Landry would frequently break up opposition attacks, while his simple but smart distribution meant he rarely wasted a pass.

May he rest in peace.
