La Liga rivals contact Barcelona over midfielder deal | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at Barcelona was the subject of a recent transfer enquiry on the part of La Liga rivals Real Betis.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.

The name of youngster Casadó has of course been a prominent one in the media headlines surrounding Barcelona over recent weeks.

This comes after it was suggested that, at the right price, the 21-year-old could be lured away from Catalunya’s capital.

A number of clubs from across Spain and beyond, in turn, are understood to have made known their interest in bringing in Casadó.

And as alluded to above, early this week, the identity of one such suitor has been revealed.

As per a report from Sport, Real Betis touched base with the board at the Camp Nou, to gather information on a potential deal for the Blaugrana’s engine room talent.

It quickly became clear to both parties, however, that a transfer is not on the table, with Betis unable to meet the considerable financial demands laid out by Deco and co. for Casadó.
