And there is a strong feeling that this will be a yes-or-no meeting regarding whether the 49-year-old stays.

In ideal circumstances, Inzaghi and the Inter management would have a few days to digest and reflect upon Saturday’s humiliating loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

However, in just over a week, Inter will fly to the United States to participate in the Club World Cup.

Therefore, Inter will need to have certainty on the future in the next few days. They will know one way or another within the next 24 hours in all likelihood.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter Oaktree Capital are fully in support of keeping Inzaghi. They would be happy to hand the former Lazio coach a contract extension.

Therefore, it now falls to Nerazzurri President Beppe Marotta to convince Inzaghi.

The Inter President will do absolutely everything he can to keep hold of the coach in tomorrow’s meeting.

And in the meantime, the Nerazzurri have also been making contact with Como coach Cesc Fabregas. Calciomercato.com report that Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has sounded out the Spanish coach for some time.

However, Fabregas himself has significant doubts concerning whether or not now is the right time to leave Como.

Meanwhile, it is a similar case with Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi. The 45-year-old is another potential target to replace Inzaghi – but has seemingly committed his future to Marseille.

Therefore, locking down Inzaghi will be all the more important for Inter.
