Ferri extends Eintracht contract | OneFootball

19-year-old extends contract at Eintracht Frankfurt through to 2028, heads off on loan for coming season to Belgian top-tier side KV Kortrijk.

Nacho Ferri moved to Frankfurt in July 2021 from Spanish club UD Alzira’s youth system. He initially made 17 appearances for the Eagles at U19 level, scoring eight goals and setting up four more. In the 2022/23 season, the Spanish striker played a key role in the U21s winning promotion, playing 33 matches in the Hessenliga and scoring 26 goals as well as registering another 11 assists. In the following Regionalliga season, Ferri racked up ten goals and three assists in 19 matches. He made his first-team debut under head coach Dino Toppmöller, and on Matchday 10, he scored his first and only goal to date at Bundesliga level in the 3-0 win over Union Berlin

With his original contract at Eintracht Frankfurt set to run out in 2026, Ferri has already added another two years to the deal which now goes through to 30 June 2028. For the coming season, the 19-year-old will go out on loan to Belgian first-division side KV Kortrijk – the club where Frankfurt’s Brazilian defender Tuta was able to pick up plenty of positive and valuable experience during the 2019/20 season.

“Last season in particular, Nacho Ferri was able to demonstrate the incredible potential that he has,” said sporting director Timmo Hardung. “He has taken a number of important steps, moving up into the first team squad, getting playing time there and scoring his first goal at that level. What he now needs is to get plenty of minutes at a high level, which is what all sides agree on in terms of this loan to Kortrijk, where he will be able to get lots of experience in that country’s top flight.
