La Liga outfit Espanyol are eyeing a deal for a member of the defensive ranks at Italian heavyweights Juventus.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Tuttosport, who point towards Facundo González as the player in question.
González, for his part, is a 22-year-old central defender, who has been on the books of Juventus since back in the summer of 2023.
The Uruguayan is yet to actually take to the pitch in Bianconeri colours, having spent the last couple of seasons on loan with Sampdoria and Feyenoord respectively.
And with González not expected to be afforded a first-team berth in Turin this coming season, either, the aforementioned Espanyol are the latest club considering a move for the stopper.
As per a report from MD, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at the back at the RCDE Stadium, González is one of several profiles being tracked.
The Pericos could consider a permanent move for a player who previously spent time with the club at youth level, but a loan featuring an option to buy would be the ideal outcome.
