Di Marzio: Enquiry arrives from Championship side over Milan full-back | OneFootball

AC Milan are trying to find accommodation for Fode Ballo-Toure after he returned from his loan spell at Fulham and a club have come forward, according to a report.

Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that Ballo-Toure will return to Milan after a one-year loan at Fulham, who he joined right at the end of the 2023 summer transfer window but struggled to make an impact with.

The left-back born played only 11 games for the west London club having failed to impress and with Antonee Robinson ahead of him in the pecking order. His return to Italy should only be temporary though, with work underway to find him a new club.

In fact, a return to England could be on the cards because Watford are interested in the Senegal international. They will push for promotion back to the Premier League from the Championship next season and have targeted the former Monaco man.

However, no further information is given regarding the status of the operation, such as whether it would be a loan deal or a permanent sale and whether Watford – given their second tier status – would be able to afford his salary.

Ballo-Toure joined Milan with the hopes that he would be a reliable deputy to Theo Hernandez. However, he has played just 26 times for the club and scored just one goal, a last-minute winner away against Empoli.
