The Finish Keeper was signed in the summer from Aston Villa for £1m as an understudy to Kasper Schmeichel, and has yet to make a competitive appearance due to the fantastic form of the Great Dane.
Kasper is undoubtedly seen as the number one keeper at the club, and will be hanging around for another year at the least after signing a new deal, but Viljami has a chance to impress Brendan and let him know he has another great option between the sticks.

Scott Bain is very much third choice and effectively out the first team picture, so we are in need of quality competition and back up for Kasper. Viljami has a good pedigree after previously being on the books of Aston Villa, and is also a full international having made three appearances at international level for his native Finland.
This a great chance for him to show his qualities to both the manager and the supporters. let’s hope he grabs that opportunity and impresses. I am very confident that he will go on to be a great signing and a top keeper for Celtic. It all starts today, on an afternoon at Celtic Park that he will never forget.
