AC Milan have been linked with Armando Broja frequently in the past six months, and this summer, the Albanian striker is again being linked with a move to San Siro. Today, the striker spoke about his future and how he would respond to a call from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Joshua Zirkzee is the first-choice starting striker, but in terms of first-choice reserve strikers, it seems that Broja leads the way. Milan attempted to make a move for the Chelsea forward at the end of the January mercato, and whilst they were unsuccessful, they are looking to revisit the move in the upcoming weeks.

Reports from earlier this month suggest that the Rossoneri had scouts present at Broja’s game against Italy, and whilst the Chelsea forward was underwhelming, the interest remains present.

It is understood that Broja would likely be a rotational part of the squad, with Paulo Fonseca only wanting to play a one-striker formation, but the interest is there from both parties seemingly. In an interview with the Albanian TV channel, RTV Klan, and spoke about his position – and his words have been relayed by Milan News.

You get a call. ‘Hello Broja, it’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I’ve made an offer to Chelsea for you. When do we meet to talk about you at AC Milan?

“I would tell him first of all that I’m a big fan of his, I’ve always liked him as a player. Milan is a great club, second in history only to Real Madrid. I would tell him that I have to talk to the agent and the family, then I’ll let him know.”

There is interest from across Europe…

“It’s true, I have offers from these three leagues [Serie A, Bundesliga, and the Premier League]. Staying at Chelsea? It is an option, I still have a contract with them that expires in many years.”
