Barnsley FC Women made it back-to-back promotions.

Barnsley FC Women have been promoted to the FA WNL after securing the North East Regional League Premier Division title.

EASTERN – Hatters secure second place at Kenilworth Road

Premier –  Stevenage’s Amy Makewell hit a late hat-trick but Emma Slater also scored three times for visiting Royston Town in Tuesday’s 4-4 draw. Luton Town beat St Albans City 4-0 on Wednesday, before a 6-1 defeat of Bowers & Pitsea on Sunday gave them the runners-up spot. Champions Real Bedford were 6-2 winners over relegated AFC Dunstable, who had substitute Lilly Nellis sent off.

1 North – Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers’ Victoria Leyer scored four times in a 6-1 victory at Wootton Blue Cross, which put them top on goal-difference from Harpenden Town. Rovers only need to avoid a four-goal defeat at third-placed Mulbarton Wanderers next Sunday to clinch the title.

Cup Finals – Wroxham play their second final of the week – in the League Cup against Bedford at Newmarket Town FC – on Sunday, after taking on Norwich City tonight (Monday) at Carrow Road for the Norfolk Cup. The Plate final precedes the League Cup at 11am, when Stevenage Development face Wormley Rovers.

EAST MIDLANDS – Runners-up spot for Oughtibridge

Premier –  Rotherham United finished fourth with a midweek goalless home draw against Ilkeston Town, who end two points behinds the Millers in fifth. Grimsby Town host Chesterfield to wrap up the division’s fixtures next Sunday.

1 Central –  Asfordby Amateurs and Arnold Eagles take the battle for second spot to the last game on Sunday, with the former needing to win. The Eagles then host the Cup and Plate finals on 26 May.

1 North – Oughtibridge WM won 4-1 at Skegness Town on Thursday to take the runners-up spot from Dronfield Town, having also overtaken Gainsborough Trinity.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Dulwich Hamlet lead with one game to go

Premier –  Dulwich Hamlet won 3-0 at Crawley to take top spot from Dartford and effectively become champions. They only need avoid a 12-goal defeat at Saltdean United next Sunday, to secure promotion to the National League. Enfield Town edged Millwall Lionesses 2-1 to finish eighth ahead of Sutton United, who were sunk 7-0 at Saltdean.

1 North –  Ashmount Leigh came from three down at half-time to draw 3-3 with Richmond Park. Runners-up Brentford play Whyteleafe in the League Trophy Final on Sunday, 4pm at Dorking Wanderers FC.

1 South – Bognor Regis Town beat Steyning Town 2-1 on Wednesday to leap three places to sixth, where they finished after Sunday’s 2-0 home defeat by runners-up Bromley.

NORTH EAST – Barnsley FC promoted to FA WNL

Premier – South Shields edged Sunderland West End 3-2 away on Wednesday, when Hartlepool United won the basement battle with Redcar Town 2-1 to climb off the bottom. Bradford City won 5-1 at Wakefield AFC on Thursday. Sunday saw Barnsley FC become champions ahead of Spennymoor Town with a 4-0 win at Wallsend BC. Elsewhere, Hull United beat Hartlepool United 3-1 set up by an early brace from Mary Lisle, Wakefield put eight past Redcar with three goals for Harriet Lloyd. Wednesday sees Barnsley FC host Wakefield and Redcar entertain Sunderland West End.

1 North – Chester le Street United leapfrogged Washington when beating them 4-2 away on Thursday, Lucy Bowman hitting a hat-trick, before losing out 3-1 at home to Thornaby on Sunday. Consett’s Danika Stephenson got the only goal at Washington to lift her side to fourth. Thornaby are in the North Riding Cup Final at the Riverside Stadium on Tuesday, up against York City, while Wallsend BC Reserves welcome Sunderland U-23s for a league fixture on Thursday.

1 South – York Railway Institute need four points from two games to take the title ahead of Ossett United, after a 2-0 victory over Lower Hopton. They go to Altofts on Tuesday, who have been busy with 4-0 wins over Farsley Celtic JFC Ladies in midweek and Sheffield United Foundation on the weekend. Elsewhere, Millmoor signed off with a 4-1 result against Chesterfield FC.

League Cup Semi-Final – Sunderland U-23s fought back from two down to edge Sunderland West End 3-2 after extra time, setting up a final on 19 May at Norton Sports Complex with Barnsley FC.

SOUTHERN – Bournemouth Sports do the double

League Cup Final – League champions Bournemouth Sports also lifted the cup with a 3-0 victory away to Havant & Waterlooville on Thursday, Emily Philips and Hollie Shaw scoring in the opening 20 minutes, Hannah Bennett adding the third in added time.

Chairman’s Cup Final – Beaconsfield Town beat Woking 3-2 in Wednesday’s final, Lucy Casey’s second goal of the night on the hour proving decisive.

1 South – Back in league action on Sunday, Beaconsfield Town got both goals of the game for a good result away to Kidlington. Champions AFC Portchester play Moneyfields in the Portsmouth Divisional FA Cup final at Havant & Waterlooville FC this Tuesday.

SOUTH WEST – Ilminster draw leaves way open for Saltash

1 North –  Newly-crowned champions AEK Boco ended with a 5-2 success against SGS Olveston United, Downend Flyers defeated Bitton 3-1.

1 West –  Ilminster Town missed the chance to pin down pole position in their last match, held 0-0 at home by third-placed Helston Athletic, whose own title hopes are now ended. They host Saltash United next Sunday and a win for the Ashes will see them declared champions.

Premier League Cup Final – The league’s top two sides, Marine Academy Plymouth and Bristol Rovers, clash at Tiverton Town FC on Saturday 18 May, kick off 5pm.

WEST MIDLANDS – Lye Town win Premier Cup on penalties

Premier – Knowle were all but safe after Tuesday’s 1-0 win at basement side Crusaders which relegated Lichfield City, Coundon Court saw off Coventry Sphinx 3-1 on Thursday. Crusaders still have hope of avoiding the drop after an impressive 2-1 win against third-placed Shrewsbury Town as substitute Megan Jenkins struck. Solihull Sporting similarly defeated Shifnal Town with Atralee Deacon netting off the bench on 89 minutes. Coundon Court overcame Kidderminster Harriers 6-2 as Jessica Lundie claimed a treble. On Wednesday, Sphinx play Knowle at the Sphinx Industrial Supplies Arena.

1 North –  AFC Telford United – who host Shrewsbury in Thursday’s Shropshire Cup final – won 3-0 at Lichfield City Reserves where goals from subs Charlotte Budd and Lucy Harper made sure they stayed top. Port Vale remain best placed though, following a 6-1 beating of Walsall Wood, who host Coventry City on Wednesday. Other results were; Coventrians 0-1 Tamworth, Newcastle Town 1-4 Walsall FC.

1 South – Alvechurch are top by two points ahead of title rivals Redditch Borough – whom they play in both their remaining games – with Alisha Sheridan scoring four or their 13 at Sedgley & Gornal United. Redditch won 3-0 at Leamington Lions in midweek with two from Katie Potter, then had a walkover at Bewdley Town, while the Lions beat Hereford Pegasus 2-0 with an Ella Ashley double.

Premier Cup Final – League title-chasing Lye Town pipped Coventry Sphinx on penalties at Evesham United FC to lift the trophy.
