Barcelona have apparently set their asking price for a new Chelsea target who is reportedly seriously thinking of joining The Blues.
It all seems to be going on right now and nothing is making a lot of sense. Chelsea had been all in for Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig but now suddenly they are linked with a new attacking midfielder and look to be in for him as well.
Fabrizio Romano has explained the situation to the best of his knowledge this morning and according to him, it is Simons who remains the priority at the moment but he also confirms Chelsea agent contact for Fermin Lopez of Barcelona.
As well as that, there is the Alejandro Garnacho situation still going on but apparently he is still coming to Chelsea regardless of the Simons and Lopez situations and he is a separate target for a different position anyway.
So Chelsea might turn their attentions to Lopez, or they might go ahead with the deal to sign Simons, a deal they have been working on for far too long now and a situation that has really frustrated the Chelsea fan base.

We have a fee quoted for Lopez now via one outlet.
Cadena Cope (via The Metro) are reporting that Barcelona sporting director Deco would not be prepared to open the door for Lopez to leave for anything less than €70m (£60.4m).
As reported via X today, reporter Adria Albets is reporting that Lopez is thinking about joining Chelsea now. He says that Fermín López is thinking very seriously about Chelsea’s proposal.
Let’s see what happens with all this then. All seems very strange to me.
