Paris Saint-Germain have recently shown interest in Manchester City striker Julian Álvarez, who might be seeking a more prominent role than he’s currently getting with the Premier League team.

Last season, the 24-year-old played 54 matches for Manchester City, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists. With stats like these, it’s clear why the Argentine is eager for a regular spot in the starting lineup.

In recent weeks, the only clubs linked to the 24-year-old are Barcelona, Chelsea, and PSG, but there’s now a surprise suitor entering the race to ensure the win the race for the player.

Nonetheless, it appears Manchester City intend to stand firm and hold onto the player despite the suitors keen on him. According to CaughtOffside, Álvarez remains a significant player for manager Pep Guardiola and City.

This is why City told Álvarez’s agents they have no plans to sell the attacker in the current window and will reject future offers. Moreover, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner won’t prioritize leaving the Etihad-based outfit unless he receives a good offer.

If PSG offers enough playing time and a good contract, this could prove tempting.
