Hansi Flick singles 3 Barcelona stars out for praise after draw with Rayo Vallecano | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick revealed his take that three members of his XI enjoyed solid individual outings, en route to the club’s first dropped points of the season.

Barcelona were of course back in action on Sunday evening.

In the third outing of the defence of their La Liga title, the Blaugrana made the trip to Madrid, for a meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

When all was said and done, however, Flick and co. were forced to make do with a share of the spoils.

This came after Lamine Yamal’s first-half opener was cancelled out decisively by Fran Pérez at the midway point of the 2nd-half.

Post-match, Barcelona came in for heavy criticism for the level of their display, with Rayo having been the better side throughout the 90 minutes.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, though, the aforementioned Hansi Flick nevertheless managed to highlight what he felt were some positives:

“Joan García, Eric, and Christensen were good. The problem was in midfield and attack. We made so many mistakes.”
