Dan’s EPL Predictions
Brentford 2-2 Cherries
Man City was the last big scalp the Cherries were waiting for in the Premiership who they hadn’t beat.
I grew up on the South Coast and can remember going to League 2 fixtures with the collection box going round.
Like Brentford, eventually it will catch up with both clubs but for the moment both are buzzing with confidence.
Palace 2-2 Fulham
The Eagles are starting to look like their old selves unbeaten in their last three games.
Fulham were conceding a lot of late goals but did that themselves on Monday.
Could be more on Saturday?
West Ham 0-1 Everton
The last thing Lopetegui needs is a game where Hammers will rock up demanding a win where they will get apprehensive 30 mins in if things are not going well.
I’m not sure they have the character to deal with that and Seah Dyche is street wise enough to take advantage.
Wolves 2-1 Saints
Gary O’Neil at least has Wolves playing well but how long can he keep saying that without getting a win?
I just think they are due some luck.
Brighton 1-1 Man City
The yearly tradition where the country tries to convince itself that Man City are in a crisis and that Haaland makes them worse.
In reality 12 months ago, they got knocked out of the League Cup followed by two defeats in the League. They were third in the run when we got a point at the Etihad.
To question Pep Guardiola is disrespectful to everything he has achieved.
Liverpool 3-1 Villa
Suddenly it looks like a good time to play Villa. It would help if your players don’t pick up the ball in the area?
We got away with doing that against Bayern Munich because apparently UEFA have some kind of sportsman ship loophole in their rules (I thought there was a conspiracy against us?).
This is such a good moment for Liverpool that I can see a really strong atmosphere at Anfield on Saturday, especially if City drop points earlier in the day.
Cue everyone getting carried away during the international break (did the same 12 months ago)
Man United 3-1 Leicester
Call it the romantic in me but surely Van Nistelrooy’s last game as manager will be enough to get a response out of his team on Sunday?
Of course, it’s different taking charge in the short term but he’s done his chances of one day having the job again no harm.
For a start, he understands the size of the badge, something Ten Hag struggled with.
That’s why for all parties Ruud shouldn’t be part of the new regime’s staff.
Amorim has a big enough task to prove he has the personality to manage such a big club without the distraction of a club legend sitting next to him.

N Forest 3-1 Newcastle
What made our defeat last Saturday even more depressing was I don’t think Newcastle had to do too much to beat us.
They simply invited us to play in front of them while winning all of their duels.
Forest will play quicker with more imagination which tells you everything.
Spurs 4-0 Ipswich
Certain games Ipswich will be overmatched in and treated as a free swing.
Home banker
Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal
This is a nightmare fixture.
It’s hard enough to win at the Bridge without the pressure of having to win while the expectation isn’t on our opponents.
That makes them dangerous when they have players like Palmer, although my prediction changes if he’s not fit.
I do doubt if we have the leadership or personality to cope with all the noise. Hence why we are playing sideway passes, with everyone scared to take a risk.
The only positive is we will head to the international break with the majority of our tough away games out of the way.
Too many Gooners thought the two second place finishes gave us a divine right to stay in that position. In reality there were chances missed because football doesn’t wait for anyone.
The fact that Chelsea, mocked for how they have been run, are above us is proof of that.
The Blues will be Champions before us.
