A trio of first-team stars at La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to miss the return leg of the club’s Champions League quarter-final tie with Arsenal.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at Valdebebas.
Real Madrid are of course fresh off an evening to forget on Tuesday, which saw the reigning Spanish champions embarrassed to the tune of a 3-0 defeat in north London.
En route to their eventual defeat, Eduardo Camavinga was dismissed, ruling the Frenchman out of next week’s return leg.
And Los Blancos’ predicted absences do not end there.
As per AS, Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos – both of whom missed out at The Emirates through injury – will be forced to watch on from the stands once more at the Santiago Bernabéu next Wednesday.
Whilst the pair are making steady progress in their respective recoveries, it is concluded that:
‘The Frenchman is out of any equation for the return match against Arsenal. And Ceballos is practically ruled out.’
