Pachuca striker Salomon Rondon has delivered a clear message to Real Madrid ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup group stage encounter that his team is ready to put in a flawless performance to challenge the European giants.
Speaking to MARCA from Pachuca’s training camp, the experienced Venezuelan forward did not shy away from the challenge.
“It’s a match where you have to compete perfectly to get something positive,” said Rondon. “We know the level of quality they have, but we’re ready to give our all.”
Rondon, already a familiar name in Spanish football, faced Real Madrid just months ago in the Intercontinental Cup final in Qatar.
In the final, the Los Blancos beat the Mexican side 3-0, with goals coming from Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.
Now, under new leadership, both teams are set to meet again, this time for a crucial Club World Cup group match.

While fully aware of the task ahead, Rondon acknowledged the reputation of his opponents.
“It doesn’t matter who plays—just the Madrid shirt alone reflects the greatness of the club,” he stated.
“They’re filled with top-level talent, and we have to be at our best from the first to the last whistle.”
The 35-year-old knows there’s little time to recover in the group stage format, which raises the stakes even more.
“This group stage goes by very, very quickly. You have to be sharp and make every moment count,” he added.
Both Real Madrid and Pachuca are coming into this game needing a win after an even start to the tournament.
For Rondon and his teammates, the goal is to play with precision, stay focused, and aim to pull off an upset against the most decorated club in European football history.
