Manchester United target Victor Osimhen’s price will reportedly increase from the 15th July.
The Red Devils have long been linked with a move for a striker and one name that always seems connected to the club is Osimhen’s.
United are allegedly “keen suitors” of the player and it has been reported that the club would do a deal “on their own terms” for him.
It has even been reported that Osimhen is waiting for his release clause price of €75 million to drop in July for clubs based outside of Italy to facilitate a deal.
Nonetheless, Turkish outlet Fotomac contrast this information by claiming that his price is in fact, set to increase next month.
It is reported that “the release clause in the Nigerian star’s contract will expire on 15th July and there will be no set fee after this date.”
The team Osimhen played for on loan last season, Galatasaray, have expressed their interest in signing the player permanently but have still not received a concrete response.
Nonetheless, the delay is not good news for any of his potential suitors as Napoli’s directors reportedly claim that “the transfer fee in question will definitely not decrease.”
The Italian officials have made it clear that there will be no lower negotiations for a cheaper fee and if anything, “the player’s value will increase even more.”
One team who is not being deterred is Al Hilal who have already seen a €45 million annual salary offer rejected by the Nigerian.
According to the Turkish source, they plan to raise their mammoth offer to over €50 million to test Osimhen’s resolve about staying in Europe.
Therefore, United or any potential destination for Osimhen must act decisively within the next couple of weeks to seal a cheaper deal for him.
